چکیده

in order to evaluate the effect of feeding different levels of vermi-humus supplement (as a source of humic acid) on the performance of broiler chickens an experiment was conducted using 240 broiler chickens (ross 308) in a completely randomized design by four treatments (vermi-humus levels of 0, 0.5, 1 and 1.5 percent) and five replicates of 12 chickens per each for 42 day. the experimental treatments had no significant effect on the growth performance, carcass percentage, internal organs weights, serum concentrations of calcium and phosphorus and tibia bone ash. increasing the levels of vermi-humus up to one percent of diet resulted in linear decline in ph of breast meat (p

Effect of Different Levels of Mushroom Waste (Agaricus bisporus) with or without Probiotic on Growth Performance, Carcass Characteristics, and Breast Meat Quality in Broiler Chickens

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mushroom waste and probiotic levels on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and meat quality in broiler chickens. A 2 × 3 factorial arrangement with two levels of probiotic supplementation (0 and recommended rate) and three levels of mushroom waste inclusion (0%, 3%, and 6%) was used in a completely randomized design using male broi...

A Review on the Effect of Arginine on Growth Performance, Meat Quality, Intestine Morphology, and Immune System of Broiler Chickens

For chickens, arginine considered an essential amino acid due to the lack of urea cycle in birds. Arginine deficiency causes growth retardation, higher prevalence of disease due to the malfunction of immune system, and lower gastrointestinal capacity. However, higher levels of arginine in the diet improved growth performance, muscle hypertrophy, and meat quality. Arginine reduces carcass fat ac...
